About the event
We’re excited to announce an upcoming 26th MACPS meeting at Nixon Park Nature Center in southern York County! This beautiful nature center features scenic trails, diverse habitats, and a unique indoor museum with natural history exhibits from Pennsylvania and beyond, a perfect setting for a day of plant talk and exploration.
The schedule will feature two guest speakers, a Venus flytrap propagation workshop, and a plant auction. We also will have a special "show-and-tell" session - bring your favorite Venus flytrap cultivar and tell us about why you love it! If you don't grow any Venus flytraps, you're welcome to bring another carnivorous plant! Lunch will be included.
If you would like to participate in the auction please add your plants to the MACPS Auction Pre-Registration Form
The flytrap propagation workshop will teach you how to propagate Venus flytraps through leaf pullings! If you would like to take home your own propagation setup, there will be a $6 charge, collected on the day of the event. Cash or card are acceptable. Become an MACPS member to waive this fee! There is no cost to just watch the workshop.
