24th MACPS Meeting/Field Trip

We are very excited about our fast approaching 24th MACPS meeting which will be held at Botanique Nursery in Stanardsville, VA for the first time! The event will be held on October 12th, which is the weekend of Indigenous People's Day. 

Starting Location

Our starting location will be at a nearby Comfort Inn which we will be using as a staging point for lunch, as well as a setting for our auction after the tour of the nursery. It is IMPORTANT to arrive at this location first as we will be coordinating carpool groups in limited vehicles to the nursery due to parking constraints on site. This hotel is also a convenient location to book if you should happen to want to make accommodations overnight. We will be embarking to the nursery after a complimentary lunch at the hotel.

Please make sure to coordinate with attending board members to arrange transportation, and let us know if you would like to assist with transportation. If you are unable to make the departure time of 12:30, please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements.

Botanique Nursery

Since its founding in 1982, Botanique Nursery has been a premier plant nursery specializing in a wide range of carnivorous plants, and an unparalleled selection of Sarracenia. Botanique has introduced hundreds of unique hybrids and selections, many of which are exclusive to the nursery. They have been recognized by various prestigious organizations, including National Geographic. We are so fortunate to have Botanique owner, Rob Sacilotto, give MACPS a tour.

After the tour attendees will have an opportunity to purchase plants directly from Botanique during their visit. Rob has requested all purchases be made via CASH or CHECK as they do not have any onsite credit processing.
