Bug Fest

10 am-5 pm on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13 at the Academy of Natural Sciences

1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19103

The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University has an annual exhibit of all things related to bugs. While they had all sorts of unusual bugs ranging from camouflaged stick insects to huge beetles, MACPS was invited to present on plants that ate bugs. An estimated 3,000-4,000 children and adults stopped by our table to learn about the different kinds of carnivorous plants and witness live feedings of Venus flytraps.
